just an update on my pc issues and my absence from COD, i have ordered from amazon a b550 mobo from Gigabyte, but it seems there is a delay of some sort. the reason i've stuck with am4 is mainly down to cost, prices of ddr5 is really expensive. so you will have back winging at some point in the near future
